Un témoin dans la ville

John 15 :16. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

On the 14th of June 1992, God graciously came and put an end to many years of sin and suffering in the life of Frederic. At the age of 18, Frederic had promised himself he'd become rich and would possess all the things this world has to offer. From then on his life had been a frantic race motivated by the desire to become rich and to prove to the world what he was capable of. An unquenchable thirst for riches led him into dubious paths where the love of money is the only law. When finally a bailiff took him to court, Frederic's life shattered into pieces.

A deep sense of hopelessness had overcome Frederic and, at times, he would experience intense anxiety attacks; that is what led him to seek "another way". He encountered the Mormons and then the Jehovah's witnesses but they could not give him the peace he was after. Until one day, a few friends witnessed to him about the reality of Christ and His love for each of us. In his heart, Frederic was not only shaken by what he was hearing but he was also totally convinced he had finally found the "other way" he was looking for. Two weeks later, he drove 450 km to attend a testimony meeting in Germany.

Since that day, one fundamental truth has inspired his life: Christ has loved us, he has chosen us and appointed us so that we may go and bear fruit.

In July of 1998, Frederic was working at a power plant construction site when a mobile scaffolding fell on him and crushed his back. Miraculously, his spine was uninjured but all his back muscles were crushed. God appointed that particular time to call Frederic and, his wife, Patricia to minister in Rio, Brazil. God was waiting for them there and things were never the same after.

In their country, but also in Brazil, Sri Lanka, France, Romania, Frederic and his family have experienced firsthand the extraordinary grace of God. Their vision is to bring the Gospel to the lost and to help the poor.

Today, Frederic testifies of how God helped him recover from multiple bankruptcies and how God blessed him with a marvelous wife he met on the very day of his conversion to Christ and how God gave them a wonderful little girl after 5 years of prayer. He also testifies of God's provision for those he calls to follow him and whom he sends out. Frederic likes to seize every opportunity to encourage the Church in its wonderful mission to go and bear fruit.

His wife Patricia is a mathematics teacher. Their daughter, Aurore, was born in 2000 and, to them, she is a real miracle from the Lord.
